Fish Eagle Bay Lodge is situated in the Central District of Malawi, about 230km North East of Lilongwe.
We are about 10km south of Nkhotakota in the Sani district in a village called Mbalame Village, under Traditional Authority Malenga Chanzi.
Lilongwe has an international airport and offers a variety of car rentals to enable you to explore Malawi.
From Lilongwe, you can get to Nkhotakota via Salima or via Kasungu.
If you decide to take the SALIMA road, turn left to Nkhotakota just before you reach Salima. When you see Chia Lagoon on your left, start looking out for 2 hills to the right, called Sani Hills. Now look out for and pass the signs for Nkhotakota Potteries and Nkhotakota Safari Lodge.
At Sani Trading Centre you will see the sign for Fish Eagle Bay on the left of the road and Sani Beach on the right hand side. Turn right and follow the signs to Fish Eagle Bay, where you can relax and unwind from your long journey! We are about 6 km from the Sani Turnoff.
If you decide to come to Nkhotakota via Kasungu, prepare yourself to drive through the Nkhotakota Game Reserve, and plan to arrive before dark, as the game Reserve closes at dark for your protection. Drive to Kasungu and turn right to Nkhotakota. The road through the Game Reserve is not finished yet and there is a stretch of gravel road which becomes very slippery in the rain season. When you reach Nkhotakota turn right at the crossroad in town, towards Salima.
Coming from Nkhotakota, look out for the SANI trading centre and the signs for Fish Eagle Bay about 10km from Nkhotakota. Turn left and follow the signs for 6km to Fish Eagle Bay where you can relax and enjoy the beach and the view.
